Description
From illuminated manuscripts, stunning jeweled bindings, and incunabula, to the works of Shakespeare, Spenser, Dickens, and Tolkien, to the first editions of the classics of horror and children’s books (including probably the world’s finest collection of the works of Beatrix Potter), Edward Leahy’s remarkable collection spans eight centuries of literary history.
Please join Mr. Leahy and members of the Rosenbach’s Board and Delancey Society for an intimate evening as he shares highlights from his collection, along with the stories, discoveries, and insights of a most serious and knowledgeable rare book collector over the course of nearly 60 years. We’ll begin with a toast in the Rosenbach’s historic Dining Room, followed by a presentation and conversation in the Denworth Room.
Delancey Society members can RSVP to Melanie-Monaye Sanders, Development and Programs Assistant, at msanders@rosenbach.org
