Description

Step beyond the veil and slip through the shadows into the magical worlds that shaped the fantasy genre. Venture into the heroic saga of Beowulf, where dragons sleep beneath the earth and courage defines kings. Tumble down the rabbit hole into the curious chaos of Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland, where logic twists and nothing is quite as it seems. Journey alongside Bilbo Baggins in J. R. R. Tolkien’s The Hobbit, where a reluctant hero braves trolls, goblins, and one very watchful dragon in a tale that reshaped modern fantasy. Follow the shimmering path of George MacDonald’s The Golden Key, where a mysterious quest through enchanted lands reveals truths deeper than magic itself. Enter the darkly enchanting forests of the Brothers Grimm, where fairy tales carry warnings as sharp as thorns. Drift along with the opium-laced visions of Samuel Taylor Coleridge, where albatrosses, ancient mariners, and haunted seas stir the imagination. From hidden doorways to forgotten realms, this Behind the Bookcase Tour takes readers deep into the heart of classic fantasy.
