Description

In this tour, we’ll connect historical treasures of the Rosenbach collections to the contemporary creative field of Book Arts. We’ll explore what makes a book–-and what makes a book unique–-by following the evolution of inspired books, from a 17th-century volume that doesn’t have a front or back, to a 20th-century artist book that offers a three-dimensional take on a Rosenbach favorite: Ulysses. Discover the craftsmanship of books, from medieval illumination to letterpress printing, and how these techniques live on in new and exciting ways today.
