Welcoming Two New Board Members: Diane Ambler and Danielle Bergmann
We are delighted to announce the appointment of two outstanding individuals to the Board of Directors of the Rosenbach Museum & Library: Diane Ambler and Danielle Bergmann. Their terms officially began on July 1, 2025, and each brings valuable expertise, dedication, and passion for the Rosenbach’s mission.
Diane Ambler
Diane Ambler is an esteemed attorney and nationally recognized expert in corporate governance, with a particular focus on the financial services industry. She has held leadership roles on numerous nonprofit boards, including serving as Vice-Chair of the Alliance Française of Washington D.C. and Chair of Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law’s Board of Consultors. Diane’s professional background includes decades of experience representing independent trustees of major financial institutions, often acting as a critical voice of governance in high-stakes deliberations. She is also a prolific author and sought-after speaker on governance topics.
Diane’s involvement with the Rosenbach began in 2022 as a member and deepened through her participation in member events and the Delancey Society. In recent months, she has connected with Rosenbach leadership and board members, attended special events, and engaged meaningfully with the collection and staff. Her thoughtful approach to institutional governance and deep appreciation for cultural organizations make her a welcome addition to the board.
Danielle Bergmann
Danielle Bergmann joins the board as its first-ever Associate Board Member—a newly established position designed to create a pipeline between the Rosenbach’s vibrant Young Friends community and its leadership. This role reflects the Rosenbach’s commitment to intergenerational engagement and the cultivation of future leaders in the cultural sector.
Danielle works at Bergmann Law LLC where she serves as a paralegal, real estate closing coordinator, and office manager for the firm. A passionate supporter of history and the arts, she has served on both civic and non-profit committees and is well-known around the Rosenbach for her love of history and literature. Danielle is a graduate of the University of St. Andrews in Scotland, with a joint Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature and Modern History and a graduate degree in Modern History (MLitt) from the School of History.
As a member of the Young Friends of the Rosenbach, Danielle has already demonstrated a strong commitment to the institution’s mission and future. Her appointment signals a meaningful step toward expanding board inclusivity and amplifying the voices of younger advocates within the Rosenbach family.
