Y.A. Day! A celebration of Young Adult Literature

A program presented by the 215 Festival
Sunday, October 20, 2013 - 1:00pm - 3:00pm

The 215 Festival and the Rosenbach are proud to present Y.A. Day! An afternoon of readings, book talks, and a panel discussion by young adult authors and enthusiasts. Over the last decade, Y.A., short for Young Adult literature, has experienced a renaissance like no other, ushering in a new generation of voracious readers at the precise moment old grumps were starting to complain about how kids don’t read anymore.

Stars of today’s Y.A. scene, Melissa Jensen, Charlotte Bennardo, Alissa Grosso, Dianne Salerni, and Ellen Jensen Abbott all will be on hand to read and discuss their books. As well as talking about why they write for teens, why books for teens matter, how Maurice Sendak influenced their work and more…

Young Adults & members are: Free! Non-members: Free with museum admission. Advanced registration is recommended. For more information or to register, call (215)732-1600, ext. 100 or e-mail rsvp [at] rosenbach [dot] org.
