Dracula: The Making of a Monster
How do you create a vampire? Although the fictional Dracula needed only his fangs, the real life Bram Stoker put years of careful planning into crafting his classic horror story. This exhibition allows a first-hand look at the research and working notes that Stoker used in preparing the tale of terror. It also features a reading corner and costume area for younger visitors to learn about Dracula and the man who created him . Free with museum admisison. No RSVP required. |
Lecture:  Wednesday, October 246pm Get up-close-and-personal with Bram Stoker’s hand-written notes from the classic novel, Dracula. Associate Director Michael Barsanti will explain the meticulous research Stoker undertook to give his story life (and death). A Spiral Q Puppet Theater artistic production Saturday, October 27 Join us for this quintessential Halloween event! Hordes of howling wolves, swooping bats and larger-than-life characters from the novel Dracula will gather in front of the Rosenbach (2008 DeLancey Place) before setting out on a spooky saunter around Rittenhouse Square.
