Hands-On Tour
3:00PM - 4:00PM

Note: This tour has been canceled.

Yes, besotted can mean ‘drunk,’ but it’s also a feeling of infatuation and fascination. This Hands-On Tour focuses on intoxicating artifacts and rare books that chronicle the history of wine and explore its role within literature. From mentions of sherry found in the pages of Shakespeare’s Henry IV to Leopold Bloom’s burgundy in Ulysses, there is no shortage of evidence of historic imbibing in the Rosenbach’s collection.

Led by a member of our staff, spend an hour getting up-close and personal with a variety of treasures, including a Hebrew prayer book from 1732 and a Kelmscott Press edition of the poems of John Keats.
