Joyce Reading Group
Ulysses Reading Group
The Ulysses reading group at the Rosenbach is a fun and painless way to read (and finish!) James Joyce’s masterpiece. Led by Dr. Paul Saint-Amour, Professor of English at the University of Pennsylvania, the course incorporates a chapter-by-chapter discussion of the text, with detours into Joyce’s personal life and artistic method. The course meets once a month beginning in October 2009 and goes through June 2010, culminating just in time for Bloomsday (June 16).
The Ulysses reading group consists of 9 sessions, meeting once a month from October to June. Latecomers are welcome to join the course mid-way at a pro rata fee for the remaining sessions.
