Dodgson was born in 1832 in Daresbury, England and was the oldest son of a large religious family. Growing up, Dodgson was a good student and he later became a mathematics teacher at Oxford University. Dodgson also developed many other interests including art, theater and storytelling. Using the name Lewis Carroll, he later wrote these stories down and became a popular author. His most famous book, or course, was Alice in Wonderland.
