The Rosenbach’s education programs are growing by leaps and bounds,
including school partnerships, artists-in-residence, curriculum guides,
courses, parades, film series and more.
Whether you’re a student, an artist, a scholar, or just crazy
about learning, there’s something you don’t want to miss
at the Rosenbach.
The education department’s goals are to:
- Make the Rosenbach collections more intellectually and physically
accessible
- Expand and diversify our audience, while embracing our core constituency
- Generate enthusiasm for learning—for all ages
- Create a forward-looking, innovative, and playful image for the
Rosenbach
- Celebrate the diversity of voices and talents within the collections
- Be an educational laboratory—experiment and analyze the results
- Celebrate and encourage creativity
- Teach through the arts—“art as education”
- Encourage new scholarship and public discussion focused on our collections
- Strive for excellence without exclusivity
- Be willing to take risks on a regular basis
- Be self-critical
