Are you looking for a rewarding and stimulating volunteer experience? Become a docent at the Rosenbach!
Inspire visitors’ curiosity and creativity as you guide them through literary and artistic masterpieces and connect with the greatest minds of modern and historic times.
The Rosenbach’s volunteer docents entertain
and enlighten visitors in our historic house every day. They weave stories
of the Rosenbach brothers and their swashbuckling days as the terror
of the auction room. They also illuminate the museum’s collections
of fine arts, decorative arts, rare books, and manuscripts.
No formal background is required. We seek friendly, enthusiastic and committed applicants who enjoy working with diverse groups of people, learning through dialogue, and examining the world through its artifacts. This is a great way to share the treasures at the Rosenbach Museum & Library.
2008 Education sessions will begin September 16, 2008 and run for 12 weeks, meeting on Tuesday afternoons from 3:00pm - 4:30pm. Rosenbach docents are required to give 8 hours of volunteer service each month.
