2010 Rosenbacchanal

Thank you to all of you who helped make the 2010 Rosenbacchanal a success.  Although many of you had the opportunity to enjoy the event, we wanted to share with everyone some of the highlights of that special evening.

The event was a spectacular success and raised important funds to support the Rosenbach’s programs and exhibitions. Thank of those of you who helped us in our efforts!

We were thrilled to have the event in the dramatic setting of Building 543 of the Urban Outfitters Headquarters at the Navy Yard. Guests enjoyed the sounds of the Matt Stein Group, a jazz combo, during cocktail hour, and sipped wines specially selected for the event by Moore Brothers Wine Company.  The seated dinner was given the atmosphere of a festive garden party with centerpieces and flower arrangements by Evantine Design.  Guests sat on long farm tables lit by an assortment of lanterns interspersed with flower arrangements in ecclectic containers, such as glass jars and tea tins.  Tango music played quietly in the background. While guests enjoyed a dessert buffet, they were entertained by Philadelphia’s own Headlong Dance Theater, who performed a custom dance based on the life of a guest, who won the honor in a raffle.

Our guests received special attention from the media as a local television crew and a photographer from Philly.com’s Snapglow.tv stopped by.
