Art That May Have Come From the Rosenbach Company/Rosenbach Galleries

This form is for inquiries related to fine/decorative arts (prints, painting, drawing, furniture, metal, etc.) which are not currently part of the Rosenbach Museum & Library’s collection, but may have been bought/sold by the Rosenbach Company during its history from 1903-1953. You may own such an item yourself or it may be in the collection of another institution.

Typically art would be marked with a stock number in the form of a number, followed by a slash (/) and another number (for example, 364/21). Items they framed would typically have a label saying “to reorder this frame, please mention” followed by a two to four digit number.
