The Rosenbach Museum & Library is currently seeking two part-time unpaid interns for its development department. The development department is an integral part of the Rosenbach’s ability to fulfill its mission of inspiring curiosity, inquiry, and creativity through exhibitions, programs, and research based on its collections. The development department is responsible for identifying and cultivating individual and institutional donors, soliciting gifts, and stewarding existing donors. In this economic climate, fundraising is more important than ever and development skills are in high demand on the job market. Interns work in the morning (9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.) or afternoon (1:30 to 5:30 p.m.) two or three days per week. The duration of the internship is determined on a case-by-case basis, with a minimum eight-week commitment. Internships are unpaid. Benefits include complimentary admission for one year, participation in special events, and the opportunity to make a difference at one of the most dynamic cultural organizations in the area. Responsibilities: The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills, works well under pressure, strong organizational and time management skills, and is tech-savvy. Database and/or graphic design skills a plus. Applications from non-traditional interns (i.e. non-students) and under-represented constituencies welcome.
To Apply: Please send a resume and cover letter that explains your ambitions and interest in the position to cdeemer@rosenbach.org. No phone calls.
