Docent Program

Are you looking for a rewarding and stimulating volunteer experience? Become a docent at the Rosenbach!

Inspire visitors’ curiosity and creativity as you guide them through literary and artistic masterpieces and connect with the greatest minds of modern and historic times.

The Rosenbach’s volunteer docents entertain and enlighten visitors in our historic house every day. They weave stories of the Rosenbach brothers and their swashbuckling days as the terror of the auction room. They also illuminate the museum’s collections of fine arts, decorative arts, rare books, and manuscripts.

No formal background is required. We seek friendly, enthusiastic and committed applicants who enjoy working with diverse groups of people, learning through dialogue, and examining the world through its artifacts. This is a great way to share the treasures at the Rosenbach Museum & Library.

If you are interested please contact Farrar Fitzgerald, Education & Group Tours Coordinator at the Rosenbach Museum & Library, at (215) 732-1600, ext. 135 or click here to sign up.
